Welcome back! Pupils have made a great start to the new term and today were working extremely hard learning about fractions. They worked with friends to divide items up into different numbers of parts and discussed the importance of the parts being equal. We have chosen ‘equal’ as our word of the week.
On Monday we arrived to a very tiny delivery from some busy little elves. They were writing to ask the boys and girls in P1/2 if they would like to apply to become elves as well. They had to show that they had the skills required of an elf; that they were able to work as a team, to help each other, and to be kind. It has been fantastic watching the pupils show just how kind and helpful they can be. Their teamwork has enabled them to create some incredible models and to solve problems that they would not be able to alone. Well done!
An enormous well done to our P1 star performers for all your hard work, you put on a fantastic show! Huge thanks to our P2 choir, your singing was fabulous!
It’s been a busy few weeks in P1/2! Here are some photos of our recent learning. Last week we finished our topic of Fairyland and this week we began learning about Space!
The P1 home learning workshop on Thursday 12th of October will now be from 3pm-3.15pm in the P1 classroom. We had not realised the Parent Council meeting starting at 3.30pm! We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and hope this now allows you to attend both if you wish! Pupils can be collected after the workshop as normal. Thank you!
