We really enjoyed our visit from Kylie at Falconry Scotland on Friday. She brought three owls for us to meet and learn about. The three owls she brought were native to Britain- the little owl, the tawny owl and the barn owl. We learned that we could tell when an owl hunted by looking at their eyes. If they were yellow, like the sun, they hunted during the day; if they were orange, like the sky at sunrise and sunset, they hunted at dawn and dusk; and if they were black, like the night sky, they hunted at night!
